Serving others in the name of Christ

Reaching out to others in our community and around the world is extremely important to Trinity UMC.

Trinity UMC members are active in the community, using their gifts to serve others in a wide array of community organizations. We know that God calls us to live out our faith in the marketplace as well as in our times of play, so we encourage our members to be active in the community, the schools and in our neighborhoods.

We are so pleased to be able to open our doors to a variety of community groups and organizations from MOPS to Wartburg College to Boy and Girl Scouts to the W-SR schools to Rotary. Trinity has space for meetings, ample parking, is handicapped accessible and is always seeking ways to be in partnership with others in our region. It’s one of the benefits of being a church on ‘Main Street!’

Each month we have a number of ways for people to participate in specific mission projects such as the Christmas giving tree, coat and clothes drive for our school children, the backpack program, community meal, the food pantry, Thanksgiving Ingathering and Habitat for Humanity.

We also are a generous congregation – we have given a significant amount of money and hours to help missional projects in our community, state, nation and world!

Trinity United Methodist Church is a Rainbow Covenant church in our giving for 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014!
